FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What hardware does the Kiosk App run on?

Any modern self-service kiosk with a touchscreen — Android-based standalone kiosks, iPad-based countertop kiosks, or Windows freestanding terminals. The same kiosk hardware can run the Disqober Kiosk App or other Disqober ordering surfaces.

Does the Kiosk App support cash and card payments?

Yes. Card payments through Disqober In-Person Payments (chip, contactless, Apple Pay, Google Pay) and cash through the POS once the order lands there. Kiosk-printed tickets keep the back-of-house flow identical to counter orders.

How does the Kiosk App lift average ticket?

Modifiers, upsells, and combos are presented before checkout without time pressure. Restaurants typically see a measurable lift on average ticket because the kiosk surfaces options that a queue or a counter conversation can skip.

Can the Kiosk App run multiple languages?

Yes. Customers pick a language at the kiosk entry screen, and the menu is served from the same shared multi-locale engine that powers Web, Mobile, QR, and Table channels.

What happens to a kiosk order in the kitchen?

Kiosk orders enter the same order flow as every other channel: Work App receives them, the POS gets the ticket if connected, and kitchen printers or KDS displays show the order alongside in-house tickets. No separate kiosk queue.
